Abstract

Enterprise networks face critical performance bottlenecks in cross-subnet communication, with traditional software-based gateways suffering from >2ms latency due to CPU processing limitations and reliability issues during traffic surges. This paper presents a hardware-accelerated gateway architecture that reduces cross-subnet latency to 0.38ms(RFC 2544-verified). By leveraging switch-integrated TCAM chips and priority queuing mechanisms, the solution achieves 980Mbps throughput with<0.1% packet loss under 10,000+ sessions. Deployment at Suzhou E-Commerce Center demonstrated 84% latency reduction in payment systems, providing enterprise-ready performance optimization.
